Overcoming Adversity

Suffering, in all shapes and sizes, is something that will confront us all. Learning to walk with God through pain and suffering is an enormously important step towards Christian maturity. The wonderful truth for us to understand and experience is that there is consolation in distress, joy in the sorrow, and comfort in the midst of affliction.

 Practical Steps I can take: 

  • Prepare for suffering by reading up and prayerfully considering the topic
  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed by suffering, please reach out to friends and share with them what you are going through
