Biblical Counselling
Our primary means of pastoral care at Jubilee is through lifegroups. However, sometimes we need to address a specific struggle more intentionally. Biblical counselling provides you with an opportunity to work through some of these issues that are causing you concern, difficulty or distress while still being supported and cared for in your life group. Some questions that can help you assess whether counselling is a good option might be:
- Are you feeling stuck?
- Have you suffered a distressing or traumatising event?
- Is emotional stress showing in physical symptoms?
- Are your relationships strained or struggling?
- Have your friends or family expressed concern?

Our Goal
The goal of biblical counselling is to connect the truth and grace of the bible to the complex challenges of life. Our team of lay biblical counsellors have received training and supervision and offer time and space to explore issues with anyone seeking to find help.
Jubilee offers this biblical counselling ministry as an expression of pastoral care to our members, as capacity allows. Our team of trained and supervised lay biblical counsellors seek to build strong relationships and help people apply the gospel in meaningful and rich ways. Our counselling is shaped by a Christ-centred view of human life as found in the Bible, which takes the physical, social and developmental nature of our difficulties seriously.
We believe that people can be healed, strengthened, and built up as they grow in their relationship with Christ
